At Kentucky Healing Arts we strive for excellent. Our Massage Therapists are Licensed by the Kentucky State Board of Massage Therapy and Nationally Certified for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. In addition our therapists are dedicated to continuing education to provide the best in care.

Helping others is a natural part of my character. For as far back as I can remember I have been the person that friends and family come to in their time of need. When they started to bring their friends and family to see me, I decided I needed to go to school.
I have a deep passion for holistic, alternative, and complementary approaches to wellness, plus I'm good with my hands. This is why I choose therapeutic massage as my career. I feel this is what I was born to do.
I graduated from the prestigious Lexington Healing Arts Academy. My education included in-depth studies of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and kinesiology. In addition I received extensive training in modalities, techniques, and applications including both eastern and western approaches to wellness.
The first thing I do is listen to what my clients say with their words, body language, movements, biological rhythms, and tissues. My intention is to meet my clients where they are and assist them on their journey of meeting their personal wellness goals.
You will be treated as an individual. Your treatments will be customized to meet your specific needs. This is done from a place of unconditional positive regard, respect, professionalism, and patience.
Whether you are looking simply to relax of have more specific needs, I look forward to helping you, feel the best, and be the best you, that you can be.
I believe that the body can heal itself. It was created to do so. I believe there is much more to a person than just the physical body. The mind and spirit are equally important and all must be considered. I do not believe in putting limitations on what the body can do. When the mind, body, and spirit find balance the key to healing can be obtained.
On a personal note, my clients are special to me. You and your well being will be the only thing on my mind while I am working with you. I will not see you as an aliment nor will I treat you as such. I will see you, listen to you, and treat you on the personal and sacred level that we all deserve. You will never be judged and you will always be accepted, honored and respected as an individual. I look forward to meeting you and wish you nothing but the very best.

Missy Jackson is a graduate of Lexington Healing Arts Academy in Lexington, KY. She is licensed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Nationally Certified, a member of American Massage Therapy Association and has taken continuing education on Craniosacral Therapy (CST1). Missy offers therapeutic massage blending Swedish massage with reflexology techniques, myofascial / connective tissue release, energy work and craniosacral techniques intentionally creating a massage that will suit your specific needs. Her serene approach offers harmony, balance, and ease to your busy life.
Some benefits of Reflexology: Your feet accumulate toxins by way of gravity. Toxic buildup in the feet can develop from foot disorders but also manifest through organ and circulatory dysfunction forming as uric acid crystals. These crystal deposits disturb circulation and may even be painful. Using reflexology to palpate pressure points across meridian pathways on the soles of your feet help break down toxic crystals, allowing them to pass freely through the circulatory system for filtering and neutralization.
I believe that through manual techniques including soft tissue manipulation and joint range of motion can be used to increase health and wellness and decrease pain. Hands on healing using the therapeutic power of touch have positive effects on the mind and emotions as well as the physical body. Massage therapy bodywork not only reduces muscle tension but it decreases levels of emotional stress and anxiety. Taking time in your week to reduce stress and anxiety can lead to better sleep and digestion and improve your ability to communicate your needs when emotions are heightened. It can also improve focus and mental clarity. Massage therapy may influence the serotonin release, which can elevate mood and induce relaxation. The benefits of massage can have profound effects on your life. The more you connect with a specific practitioner and practice relaxation the better you will feel. Treat yourself to weekly massages to maintain health and wellness in your life.
